Dr. Ben Akih-Kumgeh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Syracuse University. His research is focused on combustion science and technology. He studies burning processes using experiments and computer simulations with the aim of enabling the design of fuel-efficient and clean engines. In addition to his research, Dr. Akih-Kumgeh teaches various courses in energy conversion and propulsion to mechanical and aerospace engineering students. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, Canada.
