Director of Student Engagement
Goodwin College

Nicole Miller is a passionate educator with 20 years of experience. She joined Goodwin College in 2010 after concluding an eleven-year career in secondary school education. She was quickly recognized for her energetic and charismatic personality and in 2013 was offered the role of Student Engagement Coordinator in the Student Services Department. In this role, she has created a wide array of campus activities, that are now traditions for the Goodwin College community.

Because of her dynamic connection with student body, she saw the opportunity to develop a comprehensive student leadership program using Kouzes and Posner Student Leadership Challenge, and shortly thereafter was promoted to her current position, Director of Student Engagement. Ms. Miller is responsible for a myriad of programs that are essential to Goodwin’s culture. From overseeing the planning and execution of Goodwin’s Commencement ceremony, to managing the Summer Bridge Academy, serving as the inaugural chair of the Intercultural/Inclusivity governance committee, and as a highly sought after adjunct instructor in the areas of Sociology and Psychology, her leadership skills and infectious spirit has helped many students and mentees meet and exceed their own expectations.

Nicole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Hartford and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University. Outside of Goodwin, she spends most of her time serving the Greater Hartford community on the Board of Trustees for Hartford Behavioral Health, participating with various committees at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, competing with Goodwin’s Dragon Boat team, and spending time with her two children.
