Champions of Change: Building Resilience by Leading Authentically
Being authentic is a key characteristic that leaders must embody in order to gain trust, develop positive relationships, and influence others around them. Amidst the many impactful events that have taken place over the past few years – including recent legislative decisions on affirmative action, state law impacts on DEI efforts, an uptick in Asian-American hate crimes, and attacks on LGBTQ+ rights – several business representatives are wondering how to constructively address these topics within the workplace at a time when DEI efforts are facing increased backlash. In order to practice authentic leadership, organizational leaders need to proactively lean into these sensitive topics and promote open dialogue about different perspectives and experiences. This event will aim to provide attendees with tips on how to be an authentic leader within contemporary society and foster a safe, inclusive workplace environment that embraces transformative dialogue.
